Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the difficult economic conditions that hit Yugoslavia in the eighties. It describes the difficult conditions prevailing in the country and the ways in which people have tried to cope with everyday life. The focus of the work deals with the Long-term program of economic stabilization, reform which sought to bring solutions to the economic crisis. Long-term program focused on the various branches of the economy and was trying to find solution to various problems, but the propositions never functioned in the Yugoslav economy. The Yugoslav government was afraid of sudden changes and protests that could escalate. Other propositions have not helped the economy, and changes were seen as the introduction of capitalism. We can conclude that the economic crisis, but also ineffective way of economic in general contributed to the disintegration of Yugoslavia.
