Abstract
Glavni cilj ovoga rada bio je analizirati načine razvijanja socioemocionalne kompetentnosti djece u Montessori pedagogiji. Iako se socioemocionalna kompetentnost kao jedna od više vrsta kompetencija odnosno inteligencija sustavnije počela proučavati tek u drugoj polovini dvadesetog stoljeća, razvidno je da je Maria Montessori njezinu važnost uočila nekoliko desetljeća ranije te, još važnije, da je osmislila načine razvijanja socioemocionalne kompetentnosti kod djece. Razvijanje socioemocionalne kompetentnosti u Montessori pedagogiji potiče se posebno osmišljenim materijalima, ravnotežom grupnog i individualnog rada gdje odgajatelj ima ključnu funkciju, korištenjem materijala te unutar najrazličitijih aktivnosti kao što su primjerice vježbe za praktični život, moralni i religijski odnos te brojne druge. To potvrđuju i rezultati nekih istraživanja koja su pokazala da djeca koja su pohađala Montessori vrtiće pokazuju više prosocijalnog ponašanja, ne iskazuju agresivnost u igri, dobro se suočavaju s problemima kada na njih naiđu te da imaju više razumijevanja za druge u odnosu na djecu koja nisu pohađala Montessori programe.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this work is to analyse ways of developing socioemotional competence in children in Montessori education. Although the socioemotional competence, as one of the many type of competences or intelligences, started to be sistematically studied only in the second half of 20th century, it is noticeably that Maria Montessori had noticed its importance even a few decades earlier and, more importantly, she has designed ways of developing socioemotional competence in children. The development of socioemotional competence in Montessori education is encouraged by specially designed materials, balance between group work and individual work where the educator has a key role, by using materials and by big variety of activities such as, for instance, practical life exercises, moral and religious exercises and more others. That is also confirmed by the results of some researches that show that children who attended Montessori kindergartens show more prosocial behavior, avoid agression in games, they well face problems when they come accross them and also, they show more respect and understanding for those who did not attend Montessori programs.
