Abstract
Razvoj vizualne komunikacije prošao je dugi put od prvih simbola sve do složenih čovjekovih dostignuća. Usporednim razvojem i usavršavanjem, kroz brojne su se epohe i civilizacije prenosile informacije raznih tematika − od onih neophodnih za život, sve do oglašavanja kulturnih, ali i industrijskih noviteta. U ovom radu komparativnom analizom stilskih kretanja u različitim nacionalnim secesijskim stilovima uspoređujemo odnose i utjecaj na stvaranje secesijskoga plakata u Hrvatskoj. Rad prati različite regionalne okosnice secesijskoga stila i autore, uspoređujući i istražujući stručne i znanstvene članke, literarne izvore i izvorni materijal. Rad obuhvaća razdoblje secesije kroz regionalnu tematiku, važnost i utjecaj Izložbe plakata u Zagrebu 1914., te gospodarski, politički i društveni utjecaj na razvitak plakata u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
The development of visual communication has gone a long way from the first symbols until complex human achievements. With parallel development and perfection through numerous epochs and civilisations, various themed information were transmitted - from those essential for everyday life to the ones which have advertised cultural and industrial innovations. In this work, through comparative analysis of stylistic movements and fashions in different national and regional secession styles, we follow the relationships and influence which mark the creation of secession posters in Croatia. This work follows the various regional outlines of secession style with its corresponding authors, comparing and researching into professional and scientific articles, literary sources and source material. The paper covers the period of secession through the regional thematic style, the significance and influence of the Poster exhibition of 1914 in Zagreb, the economic, political and social influence on poster development in Croatia in general.
