Abstract
Čovjek kao najrazvijenije biće biološke evolucije predstavlja središte naše stvarnosti. Njegova kompleksnost nije sadržana samo u tjelesnoj sastavljenosti koja i danas u mnogim segmentima nailazi na neistražene granice u pojedinim znanostima, već i u sposobnosti jedinstvene moći komuniciranja i mišljenja, dosad neviđene kod ostalih živih bića. Postaje nemogućim oblikovati stvarnost bez poznavanja čovjeka kao takvog i procesa kroz koje prolazi kako bi se ostvario kao osoba. Tada posežemo za filozofijom, jer od nje nema boljeg načina u potrazi za pravom istinom. Pošto filozofija često biva na zlu glasu, što iz neznanja ili predrasuda, potrebno je podsjetiti na njezinu neizostavno važnu ulogu, kako u povijesti, čija se ostavština nažalost sve manje cijeni, tako i danas. Ovaj će se pokušaj, stoga, temeljiti na određivanju etimološkog porijekla filozofije, njezinoj ulozi kroz povijest, rušenju predrasuda i stavljanju u odnos filozofije s ostalim filozofskim i znanstvenim disciplinama, s naglaskom na izvorne tekstove filozofa određenih razdoblja.
Abstract (english)
Human as the most developed being of biological evolution is the center of our reality. It's complexity is not contained only in the physical part of the body who even today in many segments encounters unexplored boundaries in certain sciences, but also in the ability of the unique power of communication and thinking, previously unseen in other living creatures. It becomes impossible to shape reality without knowing person as such, and the progress through he's passing to achieve himself as a person. Then we turn to philosophy, because there is no better way to search for the real truth. Often philosophy has a bad reputation, out of ignorance or prejudice, it is necessary to remind her inevitably an unimportant role, how ever in history, whose legacy unfortunately has less respect, and today so. This will be an attempt, therefore, based on the determination of the etymological origin of philosophy, it's role in history, breaking down the prejudices and interrelatation of philosophy with other philosophical and scientific disciplines, with an emphasis on original texts of philosophers from certain period.
