Abstract
Ovim radom prikazana je toponimija Gdinja na otoku Hvaru temeljena na terenskom istraživanju i intervjuiranjem stanovnika. Na samom početku prikazana je povijest otoka Hvara, položaj otoka te ekonomske prilike, a zatim je opisan razvoj te životne prilike u naselju Gdinj. Nakon karakteristika govora, prikazan je popis toponima i njihove etimologije. Ukupno je prikupljeno, istraženo i opisano 148 toponima različitih motivacija. Najčešće su toponimi motivirani vlasništvom, položajem, geografskim karakteristikama, poljoprivrednim kulturama, a ističu se i zemljopisni i poljoprivredni termini u toponimiji.
Abstract (english)
THE TOPONYMY OF GDINJ ON THE ISLAND OF HVAR The paper presents the toponymy of Gdinj on the island of Hvar based on field work and interviewing of residents. The history of Hvar, its position and economic situation are described at the beginng of paper, then the development and life opportunities of Gdinj. After the characteristic of speech, the list and etymologies of the collected toponyms are described. A total of 148 toponymys were collected, researched and described. Toponymys are most often motivated by ownership, location, geographical characteristics, agricultural crops, but geographical and agricultural terms in toponymy also stand out.
