Abstract
Govor mržnje društvena je i kulturna jezična pojava koju je nemoguće proučavati izvan konteksta – a najširi je kontekst govora mržnje upravo javna komunikacija. Javna komunikacija i javni jezik te jezik medija, odnosno medijski diskurs, savršena su platforma za govor čija je svrha širenje mržnje i agresije (kao i za svaki drugi govor koji ima neki društveno utjecajan cilj), ponajviše zbog toga što omogućuje pristup velikom broju ljudi. Medijski diskurs posrednički je diskurs svih domena javne komunikacije, a u 21. stoljeću, pod utjecajem razvoja novih tehnologija, poprima neke nove oblike – internet je glavna novìna koja sa svojim društvenim mrežama i ostalim oblicima kreira novi oblik javnosti. Govor mržnje sve je prisutniji u medijskom diskursu s obzirom na veći broj platformi na kojima se može očitovati, te ga je stoga prilično teško precizno definirati, a još teže i pokušati kontrolirati
Abstract (english)
Hate speech is a social and cultural language phenomenon which is impossible to study out of context – and the broadest context of hate speech is the area of public communication. The area of public communication (public language), and within it, media discourse, is the perfect platform for speech with the purpose of spreading hate and aggression (as for any other speech that has a socially influential goal), mostly because it provides access to a large number of people. Media discourse is the meditor of all domains of public communication, and in the 21st century, with the fast development of technology, it takes on some new forms – the Internet is the newest phenomenon which creates a new kind of public communication, with its social networks and other formats. Hate speech, within the media discourse, is more and more present given the greater number of platforms, and is therefore more difficult to define as well as control.
