Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati koji su čimbenici povezani s intrinzičnom motivacijom studenata pedagogije te u kojim situacijama osjećaju ispunjenost te motivacije na studiju. U prvom dijelu rada prikazan je teorijski pregled o tome što je to motivacija. Za njeno proučavanje korištena je teorija samoodređenja koja promatra motivaciju kroz zadovoljavanje psiholoških potreba. U drugom dijelu rada prikazana je analiza rezultata istraživanja koje je provedeno u dva dijela. U prvom dijelu, 108 studenata pedagogije svih godina studija ispunilo je upitnik radne motivacije. Nakon toga su studenti s najvišim rezultatima (≥85 centila) pozvani na sudjelovanje u drugom dijelu istraživanja. Njime se pomoću polustrukturiranih intervjua nastojalo detaljnije saznati o tome što sačinjava i potiče intrinzičnu motivaciju. Provedeno je sedam polustrukturiranih intervjua te su identificirane osnovne teme koje su se pojavljivale u njima. Analizom je utvrđeno kako su na razinu motivacije najviše utjecale situacije koje su im omogućivale zadovoljavanje potreba za autonomijom, kompetencijom i povezanošću. Aktivnosti u kojima su imale priliku razvijati ih su ispitanice vrednovale kao pozitivne. Uočeno je kako su težile napredovanju te su bile izrazito motivirane u situacijama optimalnog izazova. Potrebe studenata i njihovu motivaciju trebalo bi uzeti u obzir prilikom izrade plana i programa te osmišljavanja koncepcije kolegija na fakultetu.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine factors that are related to intrinsic motivation of pedagogy students and situations that fulfill their intrinsic motivation during their studies. The first part of the paper presents a theoretical view of motivation in terms of Self-determination theory (SDT) that examines motivation through the satisfaction of psychological needs. The second part of the paper presents the analysis of the results of the research conducted in two parts. In the first part, 108 pedagogy students from all years completed a work motivation questionnaire. After that, students with the highest scores (≥ 85 percentile) were invited to participate in the second part of the study. Semi-structured interviews were used to examine what makes up and encourages the intrinsic motivation. Seven semi-structured interviews were conducted and the main themes were identified. Students reported that their motivation was affected mostly in the situations which enabled them to meet the needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness as defined by the SDT. Participants evaluated activities where they had the opportunity to develop these skills positively. They noted that they were striving for progress and were highly motivated in situations of optimal challenge. Students' needs and their motivation should be taken into account when designing and developing curriculum of the undergraduate and graduate program of pedagogy
