Abstract
Cilj je i glavna tema ovog rada prikaz i analiza Venecije u 17.stoljeću s naglaskom na njezinu vanjsku politiku, kao i društvene i gospodarske prilike tog vremena. Kroz rad su prikazani komplicirani odnosi Mletačke Republike, Osmansko Carstva i Habsburške Monarhije koji su se borili za prevlast nad Sredozemljem. Pozadina sukoba je također obrađena, rad sadrži prikaz najvažnijih bitki i ratova kroz dva stoljeća, zajedno sa posljedicama koje su ostale nakon kriznog razdoblja. Prikazan je i teritorij Dalmacije koji je u ovim sukobima najviše i stradao. I na samom kraju rada, na temelju svih dugogodišnjih događanja, vidjeti će se zbog čega je došlo do pada Venecije, jedne od najvećih pomorskih i trgovačkih sila koje je Svijet ikada vidio.
Abstract (english)
The goal and the main topic of this paper is the presentation and analysis of the Venice in the 17th century with an accent of the economy and social of that time. Through the paper are shown the complicated relations between the Venitian Republic, the Ottomane Empire and the Habsburg Monarchy, which fought for the predominance over the Mediterranean. The background of the battles is also elaborated, there is an overview of the most significant wars and battles throughout the two centuries, with the left consequeces. It is also shown a short review of the Dalmatian teritory. At the same end, regarding of the all long-time events, it will be shown the fall of the Venice, one of the greatest naval and trading forces the World has ever seen.
