Abstract
Društvo u Gornjim Poljicima bilo je patrijahalno koje je bilo određeno pravilima. Ta pravila se se poštovala u svako doba. Živjelo se teško i skromno. Bilo je i bogatijih. Znali su se običaji koji su se njegovali i poštovali s koljena na koljeno. Poštovalo se starije te su se mladi odnosili prema starijim s poštovanjem. Njegovali su domoljublje i hrvatski jezik i pismo. Gradili su kuće u skladu sa svojim mogućnostima i prilikama. Obrađivali su polja, držali blago. Poštovali su tradiciju u svim događanjim u životu od rođenja, preko djetinjstva, udaje tj. ženidbe pa se do smrti. Iskorištavali su ono što im je priroda omogućila te su sadili biljke koje priliče njihovom kraju.
Abstract (english)
The Society in Upper Poljica was Patriarchal, which was determined by the rules. These rules were respected at all times. They lived hard and humble. There was also richer people. They knew the customs that they nurtured and respected from their knees on their knees. Older people were honored and young people were treated with respect to older people. They had patriotism and Croatian language and script. They built houses according to their capabilities and opportunities. They cultivated fields, kept the treasure. They have respected tradition in all events in their lives since birth, through childhood, marriages, to death. They exploited what their nature allowed and planted plants that were at their end.
