Abstract
Kratkim opisom života i rada talijanske liječnice i pedagoginje Marije Montessori pružen je dublji uvid u njezinu pedagošku koncepciju koja, iako se razvijala u prošlom stoljeću, i danas nudi brojna rješenja za unaprjeđivanje odgojno-obrazovnog procesa. Prikazane su osobitosti Montessori pedagogije, a glavni cilj ovoga rada bio je analizirati ulogu učitelja i odgojitelja u Montessori pedagogiji. S obzirom na složenost njihove uloge u odgojno-obrazovnom procesu, opisano je zanimanje učitelja i odgojitelja te kompetencije koje isti trebaju posjedovati kako bi odgojno-obrazovni proces bio uspješan. Također, u radu se analizira uloga Montessori učitelja i odgojitelja u posebnim područjima Montessori pedagogije koja ističe važnost pripremljene okoline prilagođene razvojnim potrebama djece.
Abstract (english)
An abbreviated description of the life and work of Italian doctor and educator Maria Montessori has allowed a more profound insight of her pedagogical conception, developed in the last century but highly appreciated and practised today. The traits of the Montessori pedagogics have been showcased in this work with the purpose of analyzing the role of the teacher and educator in a Montessori educational system. The complexity of this role requires a detailed description of this profession and its necessary competencies for a successful educational process. This paper will also prove the importance of a prepared environment aware of the children's needs in specific fields of the Montessori education.
