Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je pobliže upoznati situaciju u Dalmaciji za vrijeme Prvog svjetskog rata, s naglaskom na vojni put dalmatinskih vojnika. Na početku se objašnjava šira europska slika za vrijeme rata, kao i složena struktura austrougarske vojske u kojoj se nalaze i dalmatinske jedinice. Rad se zatim bavi okolnostima i posljedicama rata na život Dalmacije, te nas ukratko upoznaje s dalmatinskim pukovnijama. U glavnom dijelu je fokus na Sočanskoj bojišnici, a posebno na individualnim akcijama dalmatinskih jedinica. Zadnji dio se dotiče austrougarske mornarice i njenog djelovanja na Jadranu. Na samom kraju iznesen je zaključak do kojeg se došlo s obzirom na sve iznesene činjenice.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to closely examine the situation of Dalmatia during the First World War, with emphasis put on the war path of Dalmatian soldiers. The first part explains the greater picture of Europe during the war, as well as the complex structure of the AustroHungarian army, a part of which were the Dalmatian units. The paper then deals with the circumstances and aftermath of war on Dalmatia. Also, it briefly introduces the Dalmatian regiments. In the main part, the focus is on the Italian front, and especially on the individual actions of Dalmatian units. The last part deals with the Austro-Hungarian navy and its activity in the Adriatic Sea. The conclusion, which includes all the stated facts, is given at the end.
