Abstract
Kvalitativnim istraživanjem razmatraju se prednosti i nedostatci korištenja EU fondova iz perspektive članova udruga u gradu Splitu. Istraživanje je provedeno tijekom svibnja i lipnja 2018. godine na temelju polustrukturiranih intervjua sa sedam članova splitskih udruga. Istraživani su izazovi na koje njihove organizacije nailaze te preporuke u radu s EU fondovima. Sugovornici ističu financijske, ljudske i tehničke koristi prilikom odobravanja projekata od strane EU. Rad na projektima važan je izvor financiranja udruga, tj. omogućuje im zapošljavanje novih te zadržavanje postojećih članova, kao i nabavu opreme potrebne za rad. Unatoč različitim izazovima, udruge namjeravaju i dalje koristiti financiranje koje omogućuje EU, tj. pisati i prijavljivati projekte na natječaje. Sugovornici u istraživanju traže veći angažman građana i vlasti u gradu Splitu kroz suradnju s udrugama.
Abstract (english)
Based on qualitative research results, the advantages and disadvantages of using EU funds from the perspective of NGO's members in the city of Split are considered. The research was conducted during June 2018 on the basis of semi-structured interviews with seven members of NGOs. The challenges faced by their organizations and recommendations in working with EU funds have been explored. The respondents point out the financial, human and technical benefits of using EU projects. Work on projects is an important source of NGOs funding, ie. it enables them to hire new and retain existing members, as well as purchase the equipment they need. Despite various challenges, the NGOs intend to continue to use EU funding, ie. to write and apply for bidding projects. Respondents emphasize the need for greater involvement of citizens and authorities in the city of Split through cooperation with NGOs.
