In this final paper the concept of nation is analyzed, the definitions are given and the emergence of the concept which begins with the French Revolution is observed. The contemporary concept of nation is also described by being associated with the European state of Croatia. The term of ethnonym is defined as well as the discipline which studies it. The presence of Croatians in Italy and the Croat minority in Italy is also mentioned. The research consists in collecting data to determine the presence of the noun ‘Croazia’, of the ethnics and ktetics ‘croato’, ‘croata’, ‘croati’ and ‘croate’ which are present in the daily newspaper La Repubblica during the period of the 1st July to the 31st July of 2017. The terms were analyzed according to the following variables: the argument of the article, the section and the place where the term appears in the article. All of the data is presented via graphical representation and the results were commented. All the examples taken from the articles that were taken into consideration are attached. U ovom završnom radu analizira se pojam nacije, navode se definicije i promatra nastanak pojma koji započinje Francuskom revolucijom. Također se opisuje pojam nacije danas, povezujući ga s Republikom Hrvatskom, državom članicom Europske unije. Definira se pojam etnonima i discipline koja ga proučava. Proučava se također i prisutnost Hrvata u Italiji i hrvatska manjina na teritoriju Italije. Istraživanje se sastoji u prikupljanju podataka kako bi se odredila prisutnost pojavnica imenice ‘Croazia’, etnika i ktetika ‘croato’, ‘croata’, ‘croati’ i ‘croate’ prisutnih u dnevnim novinama La Repubblica u periodu od 1. srpnja do 31. srpnja 2017. Pojmovi su analizirani prema sljedećim varijablama: prema temi članka, rubrici te mjestu na kojem se pojam nalazi u članku. Svi podatci su predstavljeni grafičkim prikazima s pripadajućim analizama. U privitku su navedeni svi primjeri preuzeti iz članaka koji sačinjavaju korpus za analizu.
