Abstract
Grad Vrlika i njegovih osam naselja se nalaze u dubini Dalmatinske zagore, između Sinja i Knina, na sjeverozapadu Splitsko-dalmatinske županije. Kraj bogat prirodnim ljepotama planina Dinare i Svilaje, koje razdvaja rijeka Cetina, vrličko, cetinsko i paško polje te Peručko jezero. Kraj u kojem se ispod utvrde Prozor smjestio gradić vrijednih i marljivih stanovnika koji su bez obzira na sve poteškoće živjeli za svoj grad. I branili kada je trebalo. Zahvaljujući svom geografskom položaju, ima bogatu i burnu prošlost. Zadaća ovog rada je prikazati tek dijelić prošlosti, sto godina prošloga stoljeća, način života starih Vrličana, njihovu svakodnevicu, vjerovanja i običaje. Opisati život stočarsko-poljodjelskog kraja koji se aktivno odvijao ritmom sezonskih obaveza koji su bili isprepleteni sa vjerskim blagdanima, dernecima i sjamovima kojima se svatko veselio.
Abstract (english)
The town of Vrlika and its eight settlements are located in the depths of the Dalmatian hinterland, between Sinj and Knin, in the north-west of Split-Dalmatia County. The region is rich in natural beauties of the Dinara and Svilaja mountains, separated by the Cetina River, vrličko, cetinsko and paško field and Peruča lake. The place in beneath the Prozor fort is a town of hardworking residents who, despite all their difficulties, lived for their city. And defended when needed. Due to its geographical location, it has a rich and turbulent past. The purpose of this paper is to present only a fraction of the past, one hundred years of the last century, the way of life of the old people in Vrlika, their everyday life, their beliefs and customs. Describe the life of the cattle-breeding region that was actively taking on the rhythm of seasonal obligations that were intertwined with the religious holidays, feasts and fairs that everyone was looking forward to.
