Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati postoji li povezanost između svjesnosti u roditeljstvu i doživljaja roditeljstva te socio-emocionalnih kompetencija mlađih adolescenata. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 184 adolescenta te jedan roditelj svakog adolescenta (N=368). Primjenjena je hrvatska inačica Upitnika svjesnog roditeljstva i Skala doživljaja roditeljstva te BERS 2. Adolescenti su općenito iskazali visoku razinu razvijenosti svih socio-emocionalnih kompetencija. Iako dob djece i roditelja nije bila značajno povezana s mjerama roditeljstva, broj djece u obitelji bio je značajno negativno povezan s usmjeravanjem pažnje na dijete s prihvaćanjem. Rezultati su također uputili na značajnu povezanost uključenosti u obitelj adolescenata te roditeljske svjesnosti i ne-reaktivnosti. Školsko fukcioniranje su procijenili uspješnijim oni adolescenti čiji su roditelji iskazali pozitivniji doživljaj roditeljstva. Svoje afektivne snage pozitivnijima su procijenili adolescenti čiji su roditelji razinu svjesnosti u roditeljstvu te samoefikasnosti procijenili visokima. Rezultati su interpretirani u kontekstu postojećih spoznaja o odnosu roditeljstva i razvoja u adolescenciji uz uvažavanje ograničenja ovog istraživanja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine whether perception of parenting and parenting awareness correlate with socio-emotional competencies of younger adolescents. The study involved 184 adolescents and one parent per adolescent (N=368). The following instruments were applied: croatian version of "Mindfulness In Parenting Questionnaire", "Parenting Sense of Competence Scale" and "Behavioral and Emotional Rating Scale - second edition". Adolescents generally expressed a high level of development of all socio-emotional competencies. Although the age of children and parents was not significantly related to parenting measures, the number of children in the family was significantly negatively correlated with focusing attention on the child with acceptance. Results have also indicated a significant association between adolescent family involvement and parental awareness and non-reactivity. School functioning was judged more successful by those adolescents whose parents expressed a more positive parenting experience. The affective strengths of adolescents whose parents rated themselves as more efficient and with higher levels of parenting awereness were evaluated as more developed. The results were interpreted in the context of existing insights into the relationship between parenting and development in adolescence, while respecting the limitations of this research.
