The topic of this paper are the altars and altarpieces in Lovreć, i.e. detailed descriptions of the altars, their provenance and summarizing the available literature about them. The descriptions are accompanied by observations of the altars in situ with supporting photographs and conservation proposals. The paper begins with a brief overview of the literature on the subject written so far and the historical circumstances leading to the construction of the churches and the purchase of the altars. In the center of the paper are two churches, the old parish church of The Holy Spirit in the cemetery with a wooden altar made by workshop Rako which has an altarpiece of Descent of the Holy Spirit in the center. The second is the new parish church of The Holy Spirit which has a main marble tabernacle altar, originating from the old church of St. Thomas from Zadar and three altars with an edicula type retable made in stone and marble from the old church of Our Lady of Health in Split. The altars are compared to similar altars, which gives us a better insight into the uniqueness and quality of altars and altar palaces in Lovreć, as well as inquiring about the workshops or artists who made them.
