Abstract
Zahvaljujući sve većem napretku tehnologije i oglašavanja, mediji sve više poĉinju okupirati ţivote mladih ljudi. Budući da su mladi dobna skupina koja je najranjivija i najpodloţnija raznim utjecajima, tako mediji imaju najviše utjecaja upravo na njih. Propagiraju sliku „idealnog“ tijela i savršenog izgleda kojim ste doslovno nepobjedivi u ţivotu. Najveća vaţnost se pridaje vanjskom izgledu i vanjštini, a ostale stvari su skoro nebitne. Mediji kao što su internet, televizija, reklame i oglasi, nude savjete kako izgledati savršeno i imati savršeno tijelo – samo takvo tijelo je formula za sretan i ispunjen ţivot. Upravo zbog takvih sadrţaja, mladi mogu potpuno izgubiti kontrolu nad svojim tijelima i potpuno se prepustiti mišljenju „struĉnjaka“, te iskriviti sliku o sebi.Istraţivanje pokazuje da mediji imaju utjecaja na to što mladi grada Splita misle o sebi, samim time što se više od polovice ispitanika usporeĊuje s medijskim slikama „idealnih“ tijela.
Abstract (english)
Thanks to the growing advances in technology and advertising, the media are beginning to occupy the lives of young people. Since the young age group is the most vulnerable and the most exposed to various influences, so the media have the most impact on them. They propagate the image of the „ideal“ body and perfect looks with which you are literally invincible in life. Most importance is attached to the external appearance and the appearance, and other things are almost irrelevant. Media such as the Internet, television, commercials and ads, offer advices on how to look perfect and have a perfect body – only such a body is the formula for a happy and fulfilled life. Because of such content, young people can completely lose control over their bodies and completely leave it to the opinion of the „experts“, and distort the body image of themselves. This research shows that the media have an impact on what young people in Split think of themselves, hence the more than a half of respondents are comparing to media images of „ideal“ body.
