Deficit hyperactivity disorder is nowadays one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of children and adolescents. It is a long-term disorder which is characterized by marked chronic restlessness and obstructive behavior. Many people attribute this disorder to a lack of parental care, but there are actually three theories: organic, psychosocial and genetic theory. Most scientists believe in genetic theory. The main characteristics of children with ADHD are excessive inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. It is very important to diagnose the disorder as soon as possible, so that children can start with therapy on time. In the treatment of ADHD, a multidisciplinary approach is important that involves the collaboration of specialists with a good assessment of the disorder to apply appropriate therapeutic techniques. The most common therapeutic tecniques include medication treatment, dietary change, individual and family therapy. ADHD disorder is discovered when a child starts going to school. It is necessary that teacher should possess competencies for working with children who have ADHD. It si expected that he implement the most effective strategies and methods in his work which will help a student with ADHD to be more successful at school. It is necessary to implement inclusion and integration in the school in order to include students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the teaching progress. Teachers should be more educated on how to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere. The role of the teacher is to create an atmosphere of acceptance in the classroom, love and support for students with ADHD.
