Abstract
Iako je važnost slike o sebi usko povezana sa zadovoljstvom i smislom života, ipak se samo relativno mali broj radova bavio ovom problematikom. Stoga je glavni cilj ovog istraživanja bio ispitati odnos između temeljnih uvjerenja o sebi, samokritičnosti i samoohrabrivanja, osjećaja smisla i zadovoljstva životom. U istraživanje se krenulo od pretpostavke da će veću prisutnost smisla i zadovoljstvo životom imati osobe koje sebe gledaju u pozitivnijem svjetlu, odnosno imaju višu razinu temeljne samoevaluacije, kao i one koje se u manjoj mjeri samokažnjavaju i u većoj mjeri samoohrabruju. Dobiveni rezultati donekle potvrđuju postavljene hipoteze i pokazuju kako su temeljna uvjerenja o sebi vrlo važna u osjećanju prisutnosti smisla i zadovoljstva životom. U daljnjim istraživanjima bilo bi važno usmjeriti se na ova pitanja i dobiti još detaljnije podatke koji će znatno olakšati razmijevanje temeljnih uvjerenja o sebi i svih aspekata povezanih s njima.
Abstract (english)
Although self-image is closely connected to satisfaction and life purpose, there are not many research papers that deal with this issue. The main aim of this study is to investigate the relation between individuals' fundamental self-beliefs, self-criticism and salf- encouragement, the feeling of purpose and satisfaction with life. In doing so, we hypothesized that there will be a higher feeling of purpose and satisfaction with life in people who have a more positive opinion about themselves, in the sense that they will have higher levels of self-evaluation then those who self-punish less and have lower levels of self-encouragement. The given results partially confirm the starting hypothesis. They show that basic beliefs about a person are relevant in trying to flind purpose in life and experince satisfaction. Taking into account all the aforementioned, it would be useful to focus on these questions in further research. This would provide more specific data that would make understanding the basic beliefs about a person and all the aspects connected to them much simpler.
