Abstract
Naslov rada Općina Vitez u ratu devedesetih godina 20. stoljeća nam govori što će biti glavni argument u radu – prikazati stanje na terenu, kontinuitet dogaĊaja, kontekst u kojem se sve to odvija i na kraju izraziti kritiĉko mišljenje o samim sukobima. Uvodni dio rada donosi detaljnu povijest grada koji je centralna figura dogaĊaja, legende o nastanku imena, povijesne procese i dogaĊaje koji su utjecali na kretanje stanovništva ovog podruĉja te iz dostupne literature o tome i njihove odnose. Drugi dio rada donosi povijesni kontekst kojeg su zapravo dogaĊaji u Vitezu samo dio. Prikazuje se proces propasti Jugoslavije, koji su uzroci i što po tom pitanju rade drţave i nacije koje su u njenom sastavu. Glavni dio rada nam predstavlja one najvaţnije dogaĊaje, a to su vojne pripreme, s kojim se sve problemima suoĉavaju, kakvi su odnosi naroda na ovom podruĉju kroz dano razdoblje i što se sve dogodi u njihovu sukobu. TakoĊer se stalno dopunjuje dogaĊajima na višoj razini kako bi imali kontinuitet i kontekst. Završni dio rada se osvrće na vanjsku ulogu u ovom sukobu te u kakvom se stanju nalazi ovaj prostor danas i ima li tu napretka.
Abstract (english)
The title of the thesis Municipality of Vitez in the war during the nineties refers to its main argument – to represent the shape of ground forces, present the continuous development of events, to create a context in which all of that happens and present a critical thought on everything. The introductory part brings the detailed history of the city, legends about its name, historical processes and events that influenced the mobility of the local residents and their relations to other ethnic groups if possible. The second parts introduces the historical context in which all of the events in Vitez are but a part. It also shows the process of Yugoslavia’s deterioration, actions its residents undertake what are the causes and those actions. The main part presents the most essential events in this thesis. Those are military preparations, problems they face, relations between different nations in Vitez and everything that happens during their conflict. In addition, some events that happen on the higher level of the state are mentioned so it can have proper context.The last part reflects on the role of international community during those events and the state of Vitez area today.
