Coffee is an important economic product that carries with it an even more important set of social influences through interpersonal relationships and interactions. The coffee beverage connects people either in the process of production and trade, or in the process of consuming and enjoying. Inviting „for coffee” is an act of preserving humanity and proof of the sociability of human beings, who exchange ideas with a drink, polemicize attitudes or simply enjoy. The richness of cultural meanings throughout history has created different patterns of behavior with coffee that have shaped entire societies. The main research subject was to investigate the consumption of coffee in the state of a liquid beverage in a cafe, and the basic goal was to investigate the characteristics of social behavior of individuals during their stay in a cafe and consuming coffee drinks. The research used a quantitative survey method with a questionnaire as a measuring instrument. The research rejected the basic hypothesis that students spend more time interacting with technological devices than with other people in the cafe. Further research confirmed three specific research hypotheses and rejected one. It was found that most consumers do not care about the brand of coffee they consume, they consider the act of consuming coffee in a cafe a luxury, and consuming coffee causes them a feeling of happiness.
