This research work dealt with informing young people about virtual violence, reporting and how to react to virtual violence, and opinions on its prevention. In order to get a better insight into the aforementioned issues, 5 interlocutors aged 18-30 were examined using a semi-structured interview. By analyzing the conducted interviews with our 5 interlocutors, we got a picture, which of course we cannot generalize, but we can certainly better understand the phenomenon of virtual violence, which has taken off today, especially among young people. We can conclude that parents generally have a compliant parenting style, without excessive control, supervision and restrictions on the use of the Internet and social networks among our interlocutors. The social network they use most often is Instagram, and they provide about 3-4 hours a day on it. The purpose of using this social network is to entertain them, follow the news, people they know and the latest trends and events. The interlocutors are mostly familiar with the term virtual violence, and it includes insulting comments, blackmail, immoral offers, sending threatening messages and belittling others through social networks. Interlocutors who were victims of violence state that they felt uncomfortable and frustrated at the time. They generally did not report their cases to the competent institutions, and if there were any reports, there would be no major sanctions. They believe that more work is being done today on the prevention of virtual violence than before, when this form of violence was not cared for too much, but still not enough. They also state that a separate subject should be introduced in schools that will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet. In addition, they emphasize the great role of parents in the prevention of virtual violence.
