Abstract
Tema ovog rada su djela Jurja Dalmatinca u Italiji tj. njihova ikonografska analiza. Juraj Dalmatinac ili Giorgio da Sebenico (u literaturi poznat još kao i Georgio da Sebenico / Giorgio di Matteo da Zara / Giorgio Orsini) je kipar, arhitekt i urbanist koji je uvelike zadužio hrvatsku i talijansku umjetničku scenu 15. stoljeća. Bio je jedan od glavnih predstavnika umjetničke struje pod nazivom „alternativna/jadranska renesansa1" koja se razvijala između Dalmacije, regije Marke i Venecije. Po svoj prilici svoje prvo obrazovanje je stekao u Veneciji, u radionici obitelji Bon u sklopu rada na Porta della Carta. Dalmatinčev udio na monumentalnom ulazu Duždeve palače se pretpostavlja, ali nikada nije dokazan. U Ankonu stiže u razdoblju velikog razvoja tog lučkog grada na poziv plemića Dionizija Benincase koji je želio da Dalmatinac proljepša njegov kvart. Osim Dionizijev rezidencijalne palače, u Ankoni radi na još tri projekta: trgovačkoj lođi, portalu crkve sv. Franje te portalu crkve sv. Augustina.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper are the works of Juraj Dalmatinac in Italy, i.e their iconographic analysis. Juraj Dalmatinac or Giorgio da Sebenico (known also as Georgio da Sebenico / Giorgio di Matteo da Zara / Giorgio Orsini) is a sculptor, architect and urban planner who deeply indebted the Croatian and Italian art scene of the 15th century. He was one of the main representatives of the artistic movement called the "alternative / Adriatic renaissance2" that developed between Dalmatia, the Marche region and Venice. He presumably received his first education in Venice, in the Bon family workshop while working on the Porta della Carta. His work at the monumental entrance to the Doge's Palace is presumed, but has not been proven yet. He arrived in Ancona during the period of great development of this port city. He was invited by the nobleman Dionysius Benincasa. In addition to Dionysius’s residential palace in Ancona he also worked on three other monuments: The Loggia de Mercanti, the portal of the church of St. Francis and the portal of the church of St. Augustine.
