Abstract
Rad uz studiranje sve je češća pojava u današnje vrijeme kada se studenti uz redovno studiranje odlučuju za povremeni ili rad na duže vrijeme putem studentskog ili nekog drugog ugovora kako bi sebi priskrbili dodatnu zaradu te financijsku neovisnost od roditelja. Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi povezanost rada i studiranja studenata Filozofskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Splitu te njihova osobna iskustva i razmišljanja o povezanosti ta dva čimbenika. U istraživanju provedenom online anketom između srpnja i kolovoza 2022. godine, sudjelovalo je 100 ispitanika Filozofskog fakulteta u Splitu. Rezultati provedenog istraživanja pokazuju da velika većina studenata trenutno radi uz studiranje te da im rad uglavnom ne utječe na kvalitetu studiranja, da ne izostaju s fakultetskih predavanja zbog rada i rad im ne predstavlja prepreku pri polaganju ispita / izvršavanju drugih obaveza. Najveći broj studenata radi u turističko-ugostiteljskim poslovima i poslovima prodaje. Kao glavni motiv rada navode novac dok najviše troše na hranu i piće, te odjeću. Nadalje, studiranje još uvijek smatraju bitnijim od rada te misle da im rad može ponuditi mnoga raznolika iskustva korisna za budućnost, no isto tako bitno je naglasiti kako smatraju da je trenutno propisana satnica premalena te je to jedna od bitnijih stvari koju bi trebalo promijeniti u budućnosti, naravno uz dodatno poboljšanje studentskih radnih prava.
Abstract (english)
It is getting increasingly common for full-time students to opt for temporary work or work over a longer period of time through a student employment contract or other type of contract in order to provide for themselves and gain financial independence. This study was conducted between July and August 2022 through an online survey on 100 participants studying at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. The aim was to examine the link between working and studying among students of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split as well as to look into their personal experiences and thoughts about the connection between these two elements. The results show that most students currently work in addition to studying full time and their job does not affect the quality of their studies to a great extent. The students do not miss their classes and their job does not get in the way of exams or other commitments. The highest number of students work in tourism and hospitality as well as sales. They state that their main motive for work is money, and they spend most on food and drink, and clothes. They still consider studying to be more important than work, but they believe that work can provide them with a variety of experiences that may be useful for them in the future. However, it is important to emphasize that the students think that the current minimum hourly rate is too low and they consider that to be one of the more important things that need to be improved in the future along with the student labor rights in general.
