Parenting is a complex process involving emotional, social and economic aspects. In the context of stress, parents often face various challenges such as childcare, financial burdens and societal pressures. Stress can significantly impact their mental helth. The aim of this research is to examine the levels of stress and well-being in parents of early and preschool children and to explore the relationship between stress, well-being and coping strategies. Data on the expression of stress, well-being, stress coping strategies and parental socioeconomic status were analysed with three resarch questions. The results indicate that there are no significant gender differences in the expression of stress and well-being among parents. Furthermore, the research confirms a negative relationship between the expression of stress and parental well-being, suggesting that a high level of subjective well-being results in low stress levels. Additionally, a positive correlation was found between the level of stress coping and well-being, highlighting the importance of developing healthy coping strategies among parents. Moreover, the research demonstrates a connection between parental socioeconomic status and their level of well-being. Parents with better socioeconomic status tend to experience higher levels of well-being, likely due to better access to resources and more favorable living conditions. These findings underscore the importance of understanding the factors that influence stress and well-being among parents in order to develop support strategies and interventions for preserving mental health.
