Although there is no generally accepted definition of the term education, we can agree that education is one of the most important process in the life of every individual and for society as a whole. In the literature we often come across the criticism of society and mentioning of the existence of many types of crisis. Increasingly, we are talking about the crisis in education, with stating the specific indicators, causes, and possible ways of overcoming them. This paper describes a study in which was aimed to determine the attitudes of parents on the education and the crisis of upbringing. We are comparing parental understanding of education and the crisis of upbringing with regard to the place of residence. The survey found that respondents largely represent the traditional type of education, and that they do not differ in the understanding of education and crisis of upbringing with regard to the place of residence. It was also found that most estimate that education is in crisis, and inappropriate behavior of children and young people most often highlighted as an indicator of the crisis. As children grow up and are educated in an imaginary triangle of family-school-media such are all three mentioned by the respondents through the questions of cause and crisis prevention education.
