The period of early and preschool age represents the period of the most intensive growth and development in which eating habits and the level of physical activity have a significant impact on the child's development and health. It is the period of early childhood that is crucial for establishing healthy life habits and adopting patterns of behavior that will follow the child throughout his life. In today's modern society, where a sedentary lifestyle is more common and unhealthy food is easily available, more and more children suffer from problems arising from these lifestyle habits. Patterns of behavior and lifestyle habits are passed on to children, and as a result we have an increasing number of obese children who do not move much and eat unhealthy food. Kinesiological activities and proper nutrition are necessary for optimal growth, development and health of children. Their importance is reflected in the overall development of the child and in the prevention of various health problems in childhood and later in life. The benefits that are achieved by regular physical activity and quality nutrition are numerous, and they are highlighted in this graduation thesis. For the purpose of writing the thesis, research was conducted with the aim of examining children's eating habits, physical activity and involvement in organized kinesiology activities outside kindergarten. The research was conducted in the form of an online questionnaire in which 97 parents participated. The research results show that some of the children of the respondents do not have a completely high quality and balanced diet, because certain groups of foods are not or are extremely poorly represented in the children's daily diet. Also, the data indicate that recommendations on the level of physical activity are met by only half of the children, and the same percentage refers to the involvement of children in organized kinesiology or sports activities.
