Abstract
Violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal social power relations between men and women that have led to discrimination and dominance over women by men and preventing full progress of women. It manifests in different ways and often combines with different forms of behavior. It can be psychical, physical, sexual and economic. And while every 15 minutes a woman is physically abused, and one killed every 28 days, psychologic and economic violence is difficult to recognize today. Violence against women is a phenomenon of global, systemic and systematic character, and due to the low number of reports, real numbers are not available, but it is considered that the real problem are the black numbers of unreported cases. It is also a cost, both for the individual as well as for the society or the state. In addition to the abuser attack, victims often experience repeated or secondary victimization where they do not receive adequate state support or are not trusted, so awareness of this problem has to be raised to the highest level in order to educate and awaken experts about this problem and avoid further damage to victims of domestic violence.
