Abstract
Razvod braka predstavlja jedan od najstresnijih događaja za sve koji su u njega uključeni, a naročito djecu. Osim što je sam po sebi stresan, ovaj događaj često ostavlja značajne posljedice. Djeca koja prolaze kroz razvod braka, za razliku od djece u cjelovitim obiteljima, pokazuju više problema u ponašanju, simptome psihološke neprilagođenosti, slabijih su obrazovnih postignuća, teže se prilagođavaju okolini i imaju manje samopouzdanja. Osim kratkotrajnih posljedica, uočavaju se i dugotrajne koje prate djecu kroz cijeli život. Kako će se djeca priviknuti na razvod ovisi o nekoliko činitelja, uključujući vrijeme provedeno s oba roditelja, kvalitetu tog vremena, odnos među roditeljima, financije i sl. Stoga je u ovom radu detaljnije opisan utjecaj razvoda braka na djecu i činitelji koji olakšavaju prilagodbu na razvod, kao i načini na koje se može pomoći djeci koja ga doživljavaju.
Abstract (english)
Divorce is one of the most stressful events for all involved, especially children. Apart from being stressful, this event often leaves significant consequences. Children who go through divorce, unlike children in intact families, show more behavioural problems, symptoms of psychological maladjustment and lower academic achievements. It is typically more difficult to them to adapt to the environment and they are less confident. In addition to short-term consequences, there are also long-term ones which follow children throughout their lives. How children adjust to divorce depends on several factors, including the time spent with both parents, the quality of that time, the relationship between the parents, finances etc. Therefore, this thesis addresses the impact of divorce on children, the factors that facilitate their adjustment to divorce, and ways in which we can help children who go through it.
