In this research we have surveyed full time students that are also employed during the academic year through “Student Career Services”. The surveys were ran during the periods of August and September of 2017; in which we had 300 participants from University of Split. The data was collected through a questionnaire followed by the graphical and table interpretations. The number of employed full time students is constantly increasing and majority of full time students tend to find a part time job through the “Student Career Services” in order to ease the financial pressure while in school and as well as updating their resumes. On top of that, students also make new working experiences and new acquaintances. The vast majority of participants said even if they were financially stable that they would still look for a part time job. More than half of the surveyed students stated how some employers partially abuse the low student rates they’re paying and therefore breaking laws and regulations affiliated with student contracts. Moreover, the students have faced with variety of different jobs; tourism, administrative, sales and promotions etc. It is true though, that not all students work in their respective professions while in school; with that being said, those students firmly believe how the working experience will not be of a huge upside, but the money itself will. To conclude, the work itself takes a lot from their school related duties, so the number of working hours is in correlation with academic success at the faculty.
