Abstract
Svrha je ovog rada prikazati neke od glavnih odrednica na kojima su izgrađene Rortyjeve kritike određenih inačica apsolutizma i relativizma. Budući da on svoja etičko-politička stajališta utemeljuje na specifičnim epistemološkim i antropološkim polazištima, osvrnuli smo se prvo na te dvije sfere, predstavljajući zatim nacrt njegove moralne filozofije i projekta liberalne utopije na koju je usmjerena. Doveli smo u vezu njegovu verziju etnocentrizma s moralnim relativizmom, te pokušali zatim demonstrirati da prihvaćanje umjerene verzije moralnog relativizma bitno ne ugrožava Rortyjev filozofski projekt.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this paper is to present some of the main points which Rorty uses in his critique of certain versions of absolutism and relativism. Since his ethical and political views are based on specific epistemological and antropological starting points, attention was first given to those, before continuing on to a sketch of his moral philosophy and the liberal utopia with which it is connected. His version of ethnocentrism was then considered in relation to moral relativism, with the goal of demonstrating that a moderate version of moral relativism is not in a significant way damaging to his philosophical project.
