Abstract
Velika migracijska kriza koja je zahvatila Europu u zadnjih par godina trenutno doživljava svoju kulminaciju. Zbog toga EU sa svojim predstavničkim tijelima se angažirala pri donošenju zakona, propisa i programa kako bi olakšali migrantima tranziciju i uspješno uključenje u društvo u koje su došli. Integracija se prvenstveno želi ostvariti putem obrazovanja pa postoje različiti programi poput onih učenja jezika kako bi se smanjila mogućnost segregacija zbog nemogućnosti komunikacije. Osim toga, velika pozornost se posvećuje učenicima migrantima kao posebno ugroženoj skupini. Potiče se smanjivanje otpora prema migrantima koji nastaje zbog predrasuda i straha od različitog. Zbog toga se potiče uključivanje djece migranata u predškolske ustanove kako bi se smanjila razlika, a u isto vrijeme naučilo poštivati kulturne različitosti. Hrvatska kao članica Europske Unije sukladno propisima je donijela svoju migracijsku politiku, ali kako je Hrvatska samo put preko kojeg migranti dolaze do razvijenijih europskih zemalja, nije uspjela pokazati svu svoju sposobnost jer je mali broj migranata zapravo zatražio azil u Republici Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
Great migration crisis that occurred in Europe in last few years have now reached its culmination. Because of that, EU with its representative bodies has come up with laws, regulations and programs in order to facilitate transition of migrants and their integration into a new society. They want to achieve integration primarily through education so there are various programs like learning language to reduce possibilities of segregation due to lack of communication. Besides that, great attention is paid to migrant students as a special group. The reduction of resistance towards migrants that occurs due to prejudice and fear of different is promoted. Because of that, it is encouraged to involve migrant students into a pre-school facility in order to reduce the difference and at the same time to learn to respect cultural differences. As a part of European Union, Croatia has come up with its own migration policies, but, as Croatia is just a path for migrants to arrive in more developed European countries, it did not have a chance to show its full potential as few migrants actually wanted asylum in Republic of Croatia.
