Abstract
Pojam trgovine i potrošnje seţe daleko u prošlost, no, tijekom vremena doţivljava brojne ekonomske, politiĉke, socijalne, urbane promjene. Tek u 20.stoljeću potrošnja i potrošaĉko društvo poprimaju globalne razmjere i postaju temeljna karakteristika društva. Od prvog Gruenovog trgovaĉkog centra 1956. godine u Edini, broj trgovaĉkih centara se iz godine u godinu povećava, centri se poboljšavaju i razvijaju, nastoje potrošnju povezati sa zabavom. Vrijeme dokolice koristi za potrošnju i uţivanje u konzumiranju aktivnosti koje se mogu priuštiti. Djecu se od malih nogu uĉi kupovanju i odlasku u trgovaĉke centre. Nekadašnje igranje, socijalizacija i provoĊenje slobodnog vremena na igralištima, u parkovima i dvorištima, zamijenjeno je odlaskom u trgovaĉki centar. U ovome radu anketnim upitnikom ispitano je 150 mladih ispitanika podruĉju grada Splita o aktivnostima i stavovima o trgovaĉkom centru kao mjestu potrošnje i dokolice. Prema rezultatima istraţivanja, ispitanici iz Splita u trgovaĉki centar najĉešće idu ili sa prijateljima ili sami, kupuju odjeću i obuću te usputno popiju piće i druţe se. Naglašena je socijalizacijska funkcija trgovaĉkog centra. Njihov je stav prema kupovini utilitaran, a prema trgovaĉkim centrima negativan. Smatraju da se u njima prekomjerno troši, da se manje boravi na zraku, ljudima se manipulira, ali se u njemu ne osjećaju kontrolirano. Moţemo reći da je današnje konzumeristiĉko društvo proizvod ameriĉke kulture, ali je ĉinjenica da je cijeli svijet prihvatio njegove kriterije. Ulaskom u trgovaĉki centar, zaboravljamo na vrijeme i na vanjski svije, te kao zaĉarani lunjamo beskrajom izloga i dućana.MeĊutim, šoping ne donosi pravu sreću i zadovoljstvo i sve te kupljene stvari su prolazne. Stoga bi trebali prestati kupovati kratkotrajnu sreću i obratiti paţnju na ono što nas uistinu ĉini sretnima i zadovoljnima.
Abstract (english)
The concept of trade and consumption goes far into the past, but, over time, experience numerous economic, political, social, and urban changes. In the 20. century consumption and consumer society are gaining global proportions and becoming the fundamental characteristic of society. From the first Gruen shopping center in Edina in 1956, the number of shopping centers is increasing from year to year, centers are improving and developing, trying to connect consumption with the fun. Leisure time is used for spending and enjoying consuming activities that can be afforded. Children learn from their feet to buy and go to a shopping mall. Former play, socialization and leisure time on playgrounds, parks and yards was replaced by going to a shopping centre. In this paper, 150 young respondents from the Split area surveyed about the activities and attitudes of the shopping center as a place of consumption and leisure. According to research results, respodents at the mall most often go with friends or themselves, buy clothes and shoes and sometimes go to drink and socialize. The socialization function of the shopping center is emphasized. Their attitude towards buying is utilitarian, and towards shopping malls is negative. They find that they are overconsuming, less abiding in the air, people are manipulated, but they do not feel controlled in it. We can say that today's consumerism society is a product of American culture, but the fact is that the whole world has accepted its criteria. By entering the shopping center, we forget the time and the outside world, and we are lurking in endless shop windows and shops. However, shopping does not bring real happiness and satisfaction and all these things are passing. Therefore, we should stop buying short term happiness and pay attention to what makes us happy and satisfied
