Abstract
Kroz nekoliko proteklih desetljeća, street art se formira kao autonomna ali i kompleksna umjetnička ekspresija. Od ishodišnih površina suvremenog grada postupno penetrira u izložbene prostore kulturnih institucija, postavlja svoje umjetničke instalacije na globalno tržište te privlači sve veću pozornost svjetske javnosti. Na primjeru grada Rima kao simbola Antike, razvidno je kako postaje nova žarišna točka ne samo talijanske nego i svjetske umjetnosti tvoreći opreku ali i simbiozu antiknog i suvremenog. Ova dva koncepta zaokružuju na taj način povijesnu lepezu umjetničkih stilova. No, kakav je postupak integriranja street arta u pojedine dijelove grada Rima te nadalje, postoji li mogućnost suradnje s kulturnim institucijama ili se pak s njima gubi sama bit ovog uličnog i urbanog izričaja?
Abstract (english)
Over the past few decades, street art is formed as an autonomous but complex artistic expression. From the original surface of the contemporary city it gradually penetrates the exhibition rooms of cultural institutions, places its artistic installations on the global market and becomes a powerful international interest of the wider public. For example, the city of Rome, as the symbol of ancient Roman art, clearly becomes a new focal point of Italian and world contemporary art, thus creating opposition and symbiosis of antiquity and modernity. These two concepts end up resulting with a rounded historical range of artistic styles. But, what is the process of integrating Street Art into individual parts of the city of Rome and furthermore, is there a possibility for collaboration with cultural institutions? Is street art, with this process, losing the very essence of its expression?
