Abstract
Marija Montessori je jedna od vodećih osoba u povijesti predškolskog odgoja. Začetnica Montessori pedagogije bila je iznimno zainteresirana za dječji razvoj te je posvetila svoj život i školovanje u oblikovanju posebne pedagogije. Njezina pedagoška načela potiču dječju neovisnost u kojoj odgojitelj sebe treba učiniti “nevidljivim”. S obzirom na najbitnije karakteristike Montessori pedagogije, dodatno se produbljuje značaj životno-praktičnih aktivnosti koje su sveprisutne u dječjim životima .
Abstract (english)
Maria Montessori was one of the most important personalities in the history of preschool education. The founder of the Montessori pedagogy was an exceptionally interested to children, hence her interest in further education regarding their needs. Her pedagogical principles encourage a child's independence in which a nurturer has to make oneself „invisible“. Baring in mind the crucial characteristics of the Montessori pedagogy, thesis additionally makes them more relevant, basing itself on activities that are practical in everyday life of a child, therefore giving special emphasis to them.
