Abstract
Međukulturna je kompetencija sposobnost pozitivne i svrsishodne interakcije s kulturno i jezično drukčijima. S obzirom na to da su u današnjem svijetu globalizacije i međunarodne suradnje međukulturne interakcije gotovo svakodnevne, a što se, naravno, latentno odražava na odgoj i obrazovanje, provedeno je istraživanje kod populacije koja će u budućnosti biti odgovorna za odgoj i obrazovanje učenika razredne nastave. Naime, istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku pete godine studenata učiteljskih studija. Istraživanjem smo obuhvatili 35 (N=35) studenta, od toga 24 splitskih i 11 ljubljanskih studenata. Istraživanje je pokazalo da nema statistički značajne razlike između stupnja razvijenosti međukulturne kompetencije kod ovih dviju grupa ispitanika te da bi se njihova međukulturna kompetencija mogla ocijeniti kao vrlo dobra. Analiza rezultata samoprocjene ispitanika u području razvijenosti međukulturne kompetencije ukazuje na potrebu daljnjeg osvješćivanja studenata učiteljskih studija u domeni navedene kompetencije
Abstract (english)
Intercultural competence is the ability of a positive and meaningful interaction with cultural and linguistic otherness. Due to the fact that in today's world of globalization and international cooperation, intercultural interaction can be seen on a daily basis, which of course latently influences education, this thesis features a research conducted within a population whose future profession will make them responsible for the education of young primary school children . The research included a sample of 35 (N035) fifth-year students of Teacher Education Studies, 24 of which were from the University of Split and 11 from the University of Ljubljana. Research results showed that there is no statistically significant difference between these two groups of students with respect to the level of their intercultural competence. Furthermore, the findings reveal that their intercultural competence could be graded as “very good". The results of the participants´ self-assessment in the field of intercultural competence point to the necessity of raising the students´ awareness of the importance of the stated competence.
