Abstract
Cilj je ovog rada pokušati pružiti odgovor na tri sljedeća pitanja – što je slobodna volja, koje vrste slobode posjedujemo te da li nam je i koja vrsta slobode potrebna za moralnu odgovornost. U prvom poglavlju rada daje se odgovor na pitanje što je to slobodna volja i u čemu je njezina važnost. U drugom poglavlju prikazane su različite koncepcije slobodne volje. Treće poglavlje nudi odgovor na pitanje što je determinizam i je li istinit. U četvrtom poglavlju odgovara se na pitanje koje vrste slobode posjedujemo. Pri tom su izloženi i razmotreni argumenti koji idu u korist kao i oni protiv tvrdnje da posjedujemo libertarijansku slobodnu volju. U posljednjem dijelu rada problematizira se pitanje moralne odgovornosti, preciznije pitanje ima li moralne odgovornosti bez libertarijanske slobodne volje te sagledava kakve su implikacije mogućeg negativnog odgovora na to pitanje za smislenost životnih praksi koje slijedimo.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the paper is to try to give an answer on the three following questions – what is free will, which kinds of freedom do we have and which kinds of freedom, if any, are required for moral responsibility. The first chapter of the paper gives an answer to the question what is free will and what is its importance. The second chapter presents different accounts of free will. The third chapter answers the question what is determinism and is it true. The third chapter answers the question which kinds of freedoms do we have. There are presented and discussed arguments which go in favor as well as those against the claim that we have libertarian free will. The last part of the paper problematizes the question of moral responsibility, more precisely the question of whether there is moral responsibility without libertarian free will, and examines what are the implications of a possible negative response to this question for the meaning of life practices that we follow.
