Abstract
Povijest Like i Krbave možemo podijeliti na 3 razdoblja. Prvo bi bilo ono prije dolaska Turaka. Za to razdoblje imamo malo spomenika no oni su velike važnosti ne samo za povijest toga područja već i za povijest Hrvata. Spomenici se nisu jednako sačuvali na svim područjima iz toga razdoblja, a mnogo ih je bilo uništeno zbog burne povijesti Like i Krbave. Imamo podatke o nekim plemićkim obiteljima i njihovim posjedima. Ipak sa istoka dolazi opasnost. Turci su počeli napadati ova područja početkom 16. stoljeća. O turskom vladanju imao više izvora nego o razdoblju prije njih. Turci su na tom području naseljavali muslimane i Srbe, ustrojili su upravnu vlast, razvili ratarstvo i trgovinu. Nakon odlaska Turaka ponovno imao kretanje stanovništva na tom tlu. U Liku tada dolaze novi naseljenici i oni narodi koji su tu bili starosjedioci prije dolaska Turaka.
Abstract (english)
History of Lika and Krbava we can divide into 3 periods. First one would be before the arrival of Turks. In that period there is no a lot of monuments, but they are of great importance for that area and for the history of Croats. Monuments were not preserved equally from that period, and many were destroyed because of violently history of Lika and Krbava. There is some information about noble families and their possesions. However, danger comes from the East. Turks began to attack these areas in the beggining of 16th century. There is more sources in that period than before Turkish rule. The Turks in the that area inhabited the muslims and the Serbs. They formed the administrative authority, developed the catlle breeding and trade. After the departure of the Turks, there was again movement of population.
