Abstract
Disciplina je, iako razumijevana na različite načine, oduvijek sastavni dio odgojno-obrazovnog procesa te na nju utječe mnogo čimbenika kao što su primjerice tip učitelja, povijesno razdoblje te pedagoška koncepcija prema kojoj se provodi odgoj i obrazovanje. U ovom radu se analizira koncept discipline u konvencionalnim i određenim alternativnim koncepcijama. Disciplina u Montessori koncepciji se temelji na samodisciplini, u koncepciji Jena-plan se naglasak stavlja na zajednicu i komunikaciju, u Waldorfu na važnost učitelja i poznavanje djetetove duše, a u Summerhillu na samoupravu djece i dobrobit zajednice. U konvencionalnom odgojno-obrazovnom sustavu provedba discipline je prošla dugačak razvojni put, od pukog fizičkog kažnjavanja kao ekspresije učiteljevih emocija pa do intrinzične motivacije koja još uvijek pronalazi svoje mjesto u vrtićima i školama.
Abstract (english)
Discipline, although understood in different ways, has always been an integral part of the educational process and is influenced by many factors such as the type of teacher, the historical period and the pedagogical concept according to which the education is conducted. This paper analyzes the concept of discipline in conventional and certain alternative conceptions. Discipline in the Montessori concept is based on self-discipline, in the Jena-plan concept the emphasis is placed on community and communication, in Waldorf on the importance od teachers and knowledge od a child's soul, and in Summerhill on the self-management of children and the well-being of the community. In the conventional education system, discipline has come a long way in development, from mere physical punishment as an expression of teacher emotions to intrinsic motivation that is still finding its place in kindergartens and schools.
