Abstract
Kompetencije se mogu tumačiti na različite načine, no najčešće se vežu uz sposobnost, znanje, vještine i motivaciju. Postoje ključne kompetencije koje bi svaki pojedinac trebao razvijati za svoju korist i za korist cijelog društva. Kompetentan roditelj je onaj koji se osjeća ugodno u toj ulozi te ima želju razvijati svoja znanja kako bi bio što sigurniji u svoj odgojni stil. Educiranjem roditelja kroz preventivne programe postižemo unapređenje njihovih kompetencija, podiže im se samouvjerenost i povećava znanje. Postoje brojni programi koji se provode u svijetu. Također na temelju uspjeha mnogih od ovih programa postoji i nekoliko na državnoj razini u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
Competences can be interpreted in different ways, but most often they are linked to ability, knowledge, skills and motivation. There are key competencies that each individual should develop for their own benefit and for the benefit of the whole society. A competent parent is one who feels comfortable in this role and has the desire to develop their knowledge to be as confident as possible in their upbringing style. By educating parents through prevention programs, we achieve improvement in their competences, increase their self-confidence and increase their knowledge. There are various programs being implemented in the world. Also based on the success of many of these programs, there are several at the national level in Croatia.
