Abstract
Psihomotorni razvoj jedna je od osnovnih čovjekovih potreba. Ipak, ubrzanim načinom života i naglim promjenama u suvremenom društvu te razvojem i korištenjem tehnologije i medija količina kretanja svedena je na minimum u odnosu na ranija vremena, a takav trend prisutan je i u konvencionalnom odgojno-obrazovnom sustavu. Usprkos činjenici da se u današnje vrijeme sve više ističe potreba prilagodbe obrazovanja stvarnim zahtjevima društva i pojedinca, u konvencionalnoj školi još je uvijek naglašeniji kognitivni razvoj, dok je psihomotorni razvoj uvelike zanemaren. Činjenica je da takav sustav odgoja i obrazovanja prestaje biti učinkovit, a potreba za promjenom postaje sve intenzivnija. Zasićenošću odgojno-obrazovnim pristupom koji zanemaruje razvoj psihomotorike uočava se, dakle, njegova neefikasnost u odnosu na pojedine alternativne pristupe koji su utemeljeni na poticanju ovog razvojnog aspekta. Stoga, kao poticaj prilagodbe školskog sustava novim zahtjevima vremena, ovaj rad analizira načine poticanja psihomotornog razvoja u konvencionalnom pristupu odgoju i obrazovanju, kao i u Montessori i waldorfskom pedagoškom pristupu te pedagogiji Célestina Freineta.
Abstract (english)
Psychomotor development is one of the basic human needs. However, the accelerated lifestyle and rapid changes in society as well as the development and use of technology and media have minimised the amount of human bodily movement in comparison with earlier times. Such a tendency appears in state schools as well. Despite the fact that nowadays the need for adjustment of education to the demands of society and individuals has been increased, in conventional schools cognitive development is emphasized, whilst psychomotor development is largely neglected. It is undoubtedly the case that such an education system stops being efficient and what arises is the need for change. Hence, the dissatisfaction with the approach to education that neglects psychomotor development indicates its inefficiency in comparison with certain alternative approaches to education based on encouraging this development aspect. Therefore, as an incentive for the education system to adjust to new demands of time, this paper analyzes the ways of encouraging psychomotor development in conventional forms of education, as well as Montessori, Waldorf and Freinet approaches to education.
