Abstract
Visoko obrazovanje je danas jedan od važnijih čimbenika za razvoj društva, ali i samog pojedinca. No, ono neće služiti svrsi ako nije kvalitetno i ako ne pomaže u ostvarivanju punog potencijala osobe koja se obrazuje. Osobe s invaliditetom predstavljaju skupinu ljudi koja je među manje zastupljenima u sustavu visokog obrazovanja. Među najčešćim razlozima je činjenica da imaju samo osnovnoškolsko, neki i srednjoškolsko obrazovanje, uz slabiji uspjeh. Veliki problem predstavljaju neprilagođenost pristupa ustanovama, neprilagođenost metoda i oblika rada i literature koja se koristi za nastavu, no i sama organizacija visokoškolske ustanove. Cilj ovog rada je predstaviti ustroj visokog obrazovanja osoba s invaliditetom u Europskoj Uniji i Republici Hrvatskoj, počevši od povijesti obrazovanja, provedenih istraživanja, do primjera rada sa studentima s invaliditetom na hrvatskim sveučilištima.
Abstract (english)
Higher education today is one of the important factors of the development of society, as well as the individuals. However, it won't serve its purpose if it is not of high quality and if it doesn't help reaching full potential of the person enrolled in higher education. People with disabilities are group of people who are underrepresented in higher education systems. Among the most common reasons is the fact that they have only finished elementary school, some even high school, with poor achievements. Major problems are the inaccessible entrances of the buildings, inadequate methods and forms of work, as well as the study materials, but also the organization of the higher education institution itself. The goal of this paper is to present the organization of higher education of people with disabilities in the European Union and the Republic of Croatia, starting from the history of education, conducted studies, to the examples of working with students with disabilities at Croatian universities.
