Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je usporediti razvojne pristupe Jeana Piageta i Lava Semionoviča Vygotskog u kontekstu kognitivnog razvoja djece. U uvodu je definiran pojam razvoja djeteta kroz teorije učenja u sklopu razvojne psihologije. Ističu se i glavna pitanja na koje ova disciplina nastoji dati adekvatan odgovor, kao i važnost kognitivnog razvoja djeteta i njegovih karakterističnih elemenata. Nadalje je objašnjeno i zašto se kao predmet proučavanja kognitivnog i općenitog razvoja uzimaju baš djeca. Analizirani su njihovi razvojni pristupi, a pritom se naglašavaju bitni procesi poput asimilacije i akomodacije kod Piageta te internalizacije i konvergencije kod Vygotskog. Nakon usporedbe obje teorije pojašnjen je pristup obrade informacija, alternativna teorija kognitivnog razvoja djece. Ovim radom se također želi istaknuti potreba za radom psihologa na području kognitivnog i cjelokupnog razvoja djece, jer nova saznanja dovode do kontinuiranog napretka.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to compare the developmental approaches of Jean Piaget and Lav Semionovich Vygotsky in the context of children's cognitive development. The introduction defines the concept of child development through learning theories within developmental psychology. The main questions to which this discipline seeks to give an adequate answer are emphasized, as well as the importance of the child's cognitive development and its characteristic elements. It is further explained why children are taken as the subject of the cognitive and general development. Their developmental approaches are analyzed, emphasizing important processes such as assimilation and accomodation in Piaget and internalization and convergence in Vygotsky. After comparing both theories the information processing approach, an alternative theory of children's cognitive development, is explained. This paper also seeks to highlight the need for the work of psychologists in the field of cognitive and overall development of children, because new knowledge leads to continuous progress.
