Rhythmic gymnastics achieves quality of physical education due to the comprehensiveness of physical activities that are carried out through play for preschool children, and are based on natural forms of movement. The goal of this sport is to show gracefulness and unity of body movements and work with equipment along with music. Children satisfy their need for play and movement through music and motion that stimulates their development (especially motor development). Motor development and abilities consist of strength, speed, agility, balance, coordination and precision. Play is the most important child activity during that period because it releases the excess energy which leads to body and mind relaxation and increase of child’s satisfaction. In addition to leading to satisfaction, play develops and improves motor skills, strengthens muscles, intellectual functions and the child's social behavior, and all this is contained in rhythmic gymnastics. It is a competitive and recreational sport that, besides affecting the child’s anthropological status, also affects his/her self-esteem, self-confidence, sense of security and socialization that suppresses fear and anxiety. In order to achieve this, the role of a trainer (educator) is important. The trainer should be a role model and example to children, as well as be well acquainted with the impact of growth and development on anthropological status and age group differences to make activities appropriate for children.
