The paper discusses the daily life of the inhabitants of the island Vis. Separation from the mainland and other islands, or the isolation is the uniqueness of the island, which creates an insular microcosms and specific ecosystems. Isolation affects the overall socio-economic development, living conditions and formation of specific socio-psychological types of islanders and their communities. For centuries, the island of Vis was continuously inhabited region in which took place the various social and economic activities. However, in recent decades, affected by a marked depopulation, while also growing interest in the occasional use of the attractive coastal archipelago with the aim of rest and recreation. For this reason, changing the island's core functions, among other things contributing to the changes of insular landscape and the changing role of small islands in the regional social and economic systems. So, because of these changes, we were interested what is the distribution of daily weather respondents, what are the views and opinions of the inhabitants of the island of Vis on the advantages and disadvantages of life on the island, the future of the island and their plans for the future. Residents of the island of Vis did not showed negative views about life on the island, but most of them estimated that the economic situation of people on the island in the next five years will be worse.
