Abstract
Obitelj je neizostavna društvena zajednica o čijem opstanku ovisi i samo društvo. Ona ima nezamjenjive funkcije u rastu i razvoju svojih članova. Obitelj je u suvremenom svijetu pod velikim pritiskom društva koje na nju utječe mijenjajući tradicionalno poimanje obitelji i uloga koje ona ima. Roditelji su ti na kojima leži najodgovornija zadaća. Svojim postupcima odnosno, roditeljskim stilom odgoja utječu na djecu te ih izravno oblikuju u osobe koje će postati. Dakako, sve što utječe na obitelj, utječe i na roditelje i na stilove njihovog odgoja. Ukupnost svih tih čimbenika određuje kvalitetu obiteljskog života. Promatrajući objektivne i subjektivne pokazatelje kvalitete života pojedinih članova obitelji možemo doznati kakva je kvaliteta života neke obitelji te što na nju utječe. Analizirajući kvalitetu obiteljskog života na Dugom otoku dolazimo do saznanja kako je na njoj potrebno raditi. Poboljšavanjem životnih uvjeta i obogaćivanjem sadržaja zadovoljstvo roditelja na Dugom otoku značajno bi se povećalo, a time bi se poboljšala i perspektiva obiteljskog života.
Abstract (english)
The family is an essential social structure on which survival depends the society itself. It has an irreplaceable function in the growth and development of its members. The family in the modern world is under a lot of scrutiny of society that it affects changing the traditional concept of family and the role that it has. Parents are the ones who bear the greatest responsibility. Their actions, that is, their parenting style affect children and directly shape them into people they become. Of course, everything that affects the family, affects the parents and the styles of their upbringing. The totality of all these factors determines the quality of family life. By observing the objective and subjective indicators of quality of life of individual family members we can find out what is the quality of family life and what affects it. By analyzing the quality of family life on Long Island we discover how to improve it. By improving living conditions and enriching the islands facilities, satisfaction of parents on Long Island would be significantly increased, and thus enhance the prospects of family life.
