Abstract
Feminizam je kao pokret prvo nastao kao reakcija na društveni položaj žena, tj. spolnu neravnopravnost, a poslije je svoje područje djelovanja proširio i na književnost. Zahvaljujući tome dolazi do proučavanja djela koja su napisale žene, ali i do novoga metodološkoga pristupa općenito. Najbolji žanr za takvo proučavanje jest roman zbog svoje povezanosti s kulturom i društvenim ustrojem svoga vremena nastanka, ali i zbog detaljne karakterizacije svojih likova, napose ženskih. Odlični primjeri jesu romani U registraturi Ante Kovačića i Tajna Krvavog mosta Marije Jurić Zagorke u kojima se na jasan i razumljiv način mogu vidjeti razlike između poimanja i shvaćanja žene od strane muškarca i od strane žene. Muškarci su skloni prikazivanju žene kao nemoćne i u potpunosti ovisne o drugima, a ako žena i posjeduje imalo samosvjesnosti, odmah se proglašava nemoralnom i nevaljalom. S druge pak strane, autorice u svojim djelima nerijetko, preko ženskih likova, promiču vlastita stajališta i uvjerenja o tome kako je žena u potpunosti ravnopravna muškarcu te da ima dovoljno snage i razboritosti da sama odlučuje o vlastitome životu bez da ovisi o ikome, a posebice o muškarcu. To nam najbolje pokazuju Katarina Lehotska i Stanka koje se potpuno samostalno bore za vlastitu egzistenciju i vlastiti život što je u tadašnjemu vremenu, kako same radnje, tako i vremena nastanka romana, izrazita rijetkost pa čak možda i novina u samome društvu.
Abstract (english)
Feminism as a movement first emerged as a reaction to the social position of women, i.e. gender inequality, and later expanded its scope to literature. Thanks to this, there is a study of works written by women, but also a new methodological approach in general. The best genre for such a study is the novel because of its connection with the culture and social structure of its time of origin, but also because of the detailed characterization of its characters, especially women. Excellent examples are the novels U registraturi by Ante Kovačić and Tajna Krvavog mosta by Marija Jurić Zagorka, in which the differences between the perception and understanding of a woman by a man and by a woman can be seen in a clear and understandable way. Men tend to portray a woman as powerless and completely dependent on others, and if a woman even possesses any self-awareness, she is immediately declared immoral and naughty. On the other hand, the female authors in their works often, through female characters, promote their own views and beliefs about how a woman is completely equal to a man and that she has enough strength and prudence to decide on her own life without depending on anyone, especially about a man. This is best shown by Katarina Lehotska and Stanka, who fight completely independently for their own existence and their own lives, which was a rarity and even a novelty in society at that time, both the plot and the time of the novel's creation.
