Abstract
S industrijskim napretkom razvija se ekološka svijest, određena povijesnim stanjem i stupnjem razvitka društva. Spoznaja o ograničenosti prirode, svjesnost dominacije čovjeka nad prirodom i uspostavljanje ravnoteže između prirodnih i društvenih sustava neke su od bitnih dimenzija koje konstruiraju ekološku svijest. Proces odgoja i obrazovanja ima ključnu ulogu u razvitku ekološki osviještenog pojedinca. U središtu tog procesa su učenici koji kroz nastavni proces, rukovođeni učiteljem usvajaju ekološki prihvatljiva ponašanja. Učenike treba poticati na razvijanje ekološke svijesti, to je preduvjet za zaštitu i očuvanje životne sredine što podrazumijeva svijetlu budućnost našega planeta. S tim ciljem, u ovom diplomskom radu provedeno je istraživanje o ekološkoj osviještenosti učenika 2. i 4. razreda osnovne škole. U istraživanju je sudjelovao 151 učenik s područja Šibensko – kninske županije. Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati ekološku osviještenost učenika drugih i četvrtih razreda gdje su rezultati promatrani prema razredu koji učenici pohađaju, spolu te uključenosti odnosno ne uključenosti u ekološke radionice/aktivnosti. Zaključeno je da su učenici drugih razreda na višem nivou ekološke osviještenosti od učenika četvrtih razreda. Nije utvrđena razlika u ekološkoj osviještenosti između djevojčica i dječaka, dok uključenost u ekološke aktivnosti/radionice podiže ekološku svijest učenika
Abstract (english)
With the industry development, ecological awareness develops as well. It is defined by historical conditions and society evolution. The nature limitations, and man domination over nature and maintain the balance between natural and social systems, are some of the important dimensions that construct ecological awareness. The process of education has a key role in the development of environmentally-aware individual. At the center of this process are the students who, through the learning process and guided by teachers, adopt environmentally friendly behavior. The students should be encouraged to develop environmental awareness; it is a prerequisite for the protection and preservation of the environment which will provide a bright future for our planet. Therefore, a study was conducted on the environmental awareness of students of the 2nd and 4th grade. The study included 151 students in the area of Šibensko - kninska tribal state. The results are observed according to the school grade, gender and participation or non-participation in environmental workshops/activities. It was concluded that the students of the second grade are more ecological aware than the students of the fourth grade. Also, the gender has no influence on the students’ ecological awareness, while the participation in the ecological workshops/activities has.
