The subject of this paper is the improvement of coordination through activities. Physical activity plays a key role in the development of anthropological characteristics of preschool children. Among the skills that preschool children develop, motor skills are important. Coordination is a key motor skill that children acquire and improve during early childhood, and it greatly contributes to their acquisition and improvement of skills. In order to investigate the improvement of coordination skills through activities as part of the diploma thesis, a study was conducted. The aim of the research was to examine the progress of the coordination abilities of preschool children enrolled in the mixed educational group of DV „Veseli patuljci“ during the 2023/2024 academic year. Sixteen respondents were included in the research, of which eight were boys and eight were girls from the aforementioned educational group. Anthropological measurements were conducted in October 2023 (initial measurement), January 2024 (transitive measurement), and May 2024 (final measurement) to monitor the progress of coordination development. The results of the conducted research showed that there are statistically significant differences in coordination tests between the initial and final measurements in both boys and girls. It was also shown that there is a statistically significant correlation between the results of the coordination tests in the final measurement and the anthropological characteristics of the children who participated in the research, with the most significant correlation between body height and various leanings, body height and running, and body weight and various leanings.
