Abstract
U ovome radu obraduju se dva suvremena romana, L’amica geniale i La storia del nuovo cognome talijanske autorice Elene Ferrante, s ciljem da se analiziraju dva glavna lika, Lila i Elena i da se rastumaci specificnost njihova odnosa, koji pripovjedac opisuje pocevši od djetinjstva likova. Analizom se pokušala obraditi kompleksnost i dvojnost njihova odnosa, kao i odnosi Lile i Elene s drugim likovima u romanima kako bi se opisala društvenopoliticka situacija u Italiji polovicom i krajem dvadesetog stoljeca i kako bi se izdvojili odredeni socijalni elementi koji odreduju talijansko društvo. U prvom dijelu rada obraduje se tema odrastanja, sazrijevanja i obrazovanja, dok se u drugom dijelu rada analizira tema braka i uloga supruge, kao i majcinstvo te tema emancipacije žene. Konacni cilj analize odnosa dvaju ženskih likova jest opisati ulogu žena u talijanskom društvu u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeca.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis the aim was to analyze the two contemporary novels, L’amica geniale and La Storia del nuovo cognome by the Italian writer Elena Ferrante, focusing the attention on the two main characters, Lila and Elena and the particularity of their friendship, described from the characters’ childhood. The aim of the analysis was to discuss the complexity and the duality of their relation, as well as Lila and Elena’s relations with other characters in the novels, in order to describe the socio-political situation in Italy during mid and late 20th century and to point out to some social elements which define the Italian society. The first part of the thesis deals with the topics of growing up, maturation, and education of the characters, while the second part analyses the motif of marriage and the role of wife, as well as motherhood and the emancipation of women. The final aim of the analysis of the relationship between the two female characters was to describe the role of women in the Italian society during the second half of 20th century.
